I chose to share this quote from one of my favorite macabre authors because I thought it suited my mood for how I have been feeling lately. I have been a lost soul of sorts these last few years, just wondering around, trying to find some meaning in my life. Being laid off from my job and going to school to improve my skills has not really brought me any closer to feeling like I have any answers. At the same time, I sense that something is going to happen; the energy in the air is changing. I don't know what is coming I just hope that I will be ready for it.
The eternity of the soul keeps us wanting more
In the infinity of the cosmos
We keep searching for the end
Tidy, neat packages wrapped in string
Clearly labeled and sorted
The chaos within is all consuming
Swallowed by the black hole of our own despair
We fall freely, until
Created is the illusion of stability
If you find yourself feeling like a lost soul, do not fret. Know that you are not alone; many suffer together in our own private hells. It is the darkest before the dawn. Just breathe and keep on keeping on.
